Indian Navy Artificer Apprentice Exam 2012 Notification Form EligibilityNotification for Indian Navy Artificer Apprentice (AA) Recruitment Exam 2012 has been published recently in major national/regional dailies, including Employment News dated 16th June, 2012 for its 133rd batch. Post selection, the 4-year Artificer course is scheduled to commence from 4th February, 2012. As per the notification, the last date to submit the online form is 30th June, 2012.


What is an Artificer Apprentice job in Indian Navy and how to apply for the same? In another blog article titled Indian Navy Artificer Exam Syllabus, Papers & Books, I would provide you the prep materials for the Artificer Apprentice exam. But first, what is an Artificer Apprentice job in Indian Navy.

What is an Artificer Apprentice job in Indian Navy:
An artificer is a skilled technical person in the armed forces – this is a catch-them-young program by Indian Navy - it inducts those Class-XII pass students who have 55%+aggregate (with Maths & Physics) for 9 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka followed by 8 weeks sea training. You can find more details about INS Chilka in this webpage.
Thereafter, Artificer Apprentice are imparted training for 4-years in technical training establishments. On completion of Artificer Apprentice in Indian Navy as a sailor, they have qualification equivalent to Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering which is recognised by the Govt of India.
Post training, Artificer Apprentice are enrolled in Indian Navy for 20 years - which is extendable till 57 yrs of age. Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer-I and even upto to commissioned officer for those who perform well and qualify the prescribed examinations.
During the entire training period, Artificer Apprentice are given books, reading material, uniform, food and accommodation etc. free of cost.

Eligibility for Indian Navy Artificer Apprentice Exam:
Only unmarried male Indian citizens and subjects of Nepal & Bhutan with following eligibility can appear in the exam:

Age Eligibility: 
Minimum 17 yes & Maximum 20 years on the date of enrolment. For Indian Navy Artificer Apprentice Exam 2012 for 133rd batch, DOB should be in between 1st Feb 1993 to 31st January 1996 (Both dates inclusive)

Academic Qualification Eligibility: 
Min. 55% aggregate in Class-XII, with Maths & Physics  and atleast one of the three subjects; Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science.

On top of above eligibility, you should have physical/mental traits as given in section: "10. Medical Standards" of the notification as well as in this Nausena sailor recruitment webpage.
Also, you have to qualify in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) which consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squatups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups.

Indian Navy Artificer Apprentice job selection process:

Umbro 'Show Your City' - Noel Gallagher And Vincent Kompany Show Off New Kits












Back in May, Umbro and Manchester City asked fans of the club to come up with ideas on how they would reveal the club's new shirts.



We wanted the interesting, the unusual, the outlandish -- and we got them! Picking our favourites from all the ideas entered, we then sent a film crew to make those ideas a reality. Following City fan Kevin Cummins getting his wish to picture Noel Gallagher and Vincent Kompany together, this video shows some of the other great ideas that Umbro and City have helped to bring to life.

Climbing mountains, recreating classic MCFC moments and shooting the new Manchester City home shirt into space via a balloon -- these are certainly some of the more unusual ways in which a football shirt has been unveiled!

Indian Navy IT recruitment 2012 Notification Form EligibilityIndian Navy has just today issued recruitment notification 2012 for the December- 2012 course of Short Service Commission in Executive Branch (Information Technology). This is a very good opportunity for those of you between 19-1/2 to 25 years who have already completed B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/BCA/MCA or B. Sc. (IT) to join the Indian naval service. Why? because you can go for a career in defence for a short period (10 years in Short Service Commission), retire as an ex-navy officer at a young age (say 34 years), draw pensions for the naval service and than join civilian jobs. Wonderful is not it?

First let us start this by knowing what pay-package Indian Navy offers for IT officer.

Salary of a Sub-Lieutenant in Indian Navy:
On being selected in this Executive (IT) recruitment, you will be inducted as a Sub Lieutenant and offered pay-scale of PB-3/15600-39100 5400. With this pay-scale, the CTC is approx. Rs. 66,500/- per month which includes Basic Pay, DA, Grade Pay, Military Service Pay, House Rent Allowance and Transport allowance.

Eligibility for IT officer recruitment in Indian Navy:
Age Eligibility:
Min. 19-1/2, Max: 25 years (i.e. born in between 2nd Jan, 1988 to 1st July 1993, (both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications Eligibility:
You should have completed following qualifications:
BE/B Tech (Computer Science/Computer Engg/IT) OR  BSc (IT)  OR  M Tech (Computer Science) OR   MSc (Computer) OR  BCA/MCA.
Final year students should not apply.

Minimum physical standards for Indian Navy IT officer recruitment:
In addition to above age & educational qualifications, you must also meet following physical standards:
1.0 You should not be colour/night blind
2.0 Height and Weight. Minimum height: 157 cms with correlated weight.
3.0 Eye Sight. 6/60, 6/6

Selection process for Indian Navy IT officer recruitment 2012:
Based on the applications submitted, Indian Navy shortlists the candidates and than candidates are called for SSB interview, to be held at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore in between July to November 2012.
